Glen Hepburn worked
for the Isle
of Wight Council’s Planning Service for
over 7 years, and continues to have a role in policy and promoting best
practice. His work included taking responsibility for all major planning
applications, including residential, industrial, retail and coastal
defence. He also has many years’ experience in general planning
work both on and off the Island, from the simplest residential extension
scheme right up to more complex applications including agricultural,
protected trees, telecommunications, holiday accommodation, change of
use and barn conversions.
He
has detailed and up-to-date knowledge and direct experience of the rapidly
changing network of permissions and consents required to progress major
schemes, including Environmental Impact Assessment, Land Drainage Consents,
FIPA licensing, Habitats Regulations, Retail Assessment and Highway
Assessment.
